    Quick answer

LEGO retires most sets after one to three years on sale. Once a set retires it disappears from shops, and sealed boxes get harder to find. If there's a set you want, buy it while it's still in stock, not because you expect it to go up in value.

    What "retiring" means

LEGO sells most sets for a limited time, usually one to three years, then stops making them. That's retirement. Once the last stock sells through, the set disappears from shops for good. Big display sets and licensed themes like Star Wars, Harry Potter and Marvel tend to be the ones people go looking for afterwards.

    How to know what's retiring

LEGO flags some sets as "retiring soon" on its website, and fan communities track expected end dates. LEGO doesn't confirm dates for every set, so any list is an estimate. Our retiring soon collection brings together the sets we expect to leave soon.

Should you buy retiring LEGO as an investment?

Some retired sets have become much harder to find and more expensive. Others haven't moved. Prices depend on demand, condition and how much stock is still around, and nobody can predict them reliably. Our honest advice: buy sets you love and would happily build. If one becomes a collector's piece later, that's a bonus. This isn't financial advice.

Brickmak tip: if you're keeping a set sealed, store it flat in a cool, dark place, away from direct sun. UAE heat and sunlight fade boxes quickly, and box condition matters to collectors.

    Buy before they're gone

Retiring sets often sell out without warning. See everything in our retiring soon collection. Every set is new and factory sealed, delivery is free over AED 100 and cash on delivery is available from AED 50.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I know when a LEGO set is retiring?
LEGO marks some sets as "retiring soon" on its own website, and fan sites track expected dates. LEGO doesn't publish fixed retirement dates for every set, so treat dates as estimates.
Do retired LEGO sets go up in value?
Some do, many don't. Popular display sets and licensed themes have often become harder to find and more expensive once retired, but there's no guarantee. Buy sets you'd be happy to own and build.
Can I still buy a retired set new?
Yes, while sellers still have sealed stock. We have retired sets like Assembly Square, Downtown Diner, the Technic Bugatti Chiron and The Razor Crest (75292), new and sealed.
Should I keep a retired set sealed?
If you're collecting, a sealed box in good condition is what collectors look for. If you bought it to build, build it. That's what it's for.
