For the most packs per dirham, buy a booster box: up to 60% less per pack than singles. For a gift, an Elite Trainer Box. For a cheap way to open a set, a 6-pack booster bundle. For a new player, a Build & Battle box.
The options, explained
| Product | What's inside | Best for |

| Booster pack | 1 pack, 10 cards (English) | Trying a set |
| Blister | 2–3 packs plus a promo card | Small gifts |
| Booster bundle | 6 packs of one set | Cheap way to open a set |
| Build & Battle box | A 40-card deck, packs and promos | New players |
| Elite Trainer Box | Usually 9 packs, sleeves, Energy, dice, storage box | Gifts, new collectors |
| Booster box (display) | 36 packs (English) | Best value per pack |
The real price per pack
Here's what one pack actually costs in each format, at Brickmak's prices today:
| Set | Single pack | Bundle (6) | Booster box (36) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pitch Black | AED 69 | AED 46.50 a pack | AED 27.75 a pack |
| Chaos Rising | AED 59 | AED 48.17 a pack | AED 36.08 a pack |
| Journey Together | AED 59 | n/a | AED 33.31 a pack |
The pattern is clear. A booster box of Pitch Black works out about 60% cheaper per pack than buying single packs. Even a bundle saves you around a third.
Booster box: best for opening
If you want to open a set properly, a booster box is the clear winner on price. You get 36 packs, enough to pull a good spread of the set's rares, for the lowest cost per pack. Japanese boxes are cheaper again; see our Japanese vs English guide.
Elite Trainer Box: best for gifts
An ETB is the nicest thing to unwrap. Most include 9 packs, 65 sleeves, Energy cards, dice, condition markers, a player's guide and a sturdy box with dividers that becomes the card storage. You pay more per pack than a bundle, because you're also paying for the extras and the presentation. For a birthday or Eid gift, that's money well spent.
Booster bundle: best on a budget
Six packs of one set, nothing else. If you want to open a new set without buying a whole box, a bundle is the best value. It's also a great small gift for a child who already has sleeves and a binder.
Build & Battle: best for new players
A Build & Battle box gives a new player a ready-to-play deck plus packs to customise it. If someone wants to learn the game rather than just collect, start here. The Build & Battle Stadium (AED 499) has two decks, so two people can play from one box.
Premium collections and tins
Collections, tins and ex boxes come with guaranteed promo cards, often oversized cards or pins, plus a few packs. Buy them when you want that specific promo or the display piece. For pack value alone, they're usually not the best deal.
